Tsitaadid raamatust «Agnes Grey»

It is foolish to wish for beauty. Sensible people never either desire it for themselves or care about it in others. All very judicious and proper, no doubt; but are such assertions supported by actual experience?

The human heart is like india-rubber; a little swells it, but a great deal will not burst it. If "little more than nothibg will disturb it, little less than all things will suffice" to break it.
