VC — A Chronicle of Castle Barfield and of the Crimea

"VC – A Chronicle of Castle Barfield and of the Crimea" is an interesting tale set in England, in the town of Beacon Hargate. A successful businessman, Jervoyce had bought an old salt mine that seemed not to yield much profit, that is, until his cousin Jervase had returned to town. Then all of a sudden, it became quite profitable, making the two men and their other business partner, the retired General Bolson, quite prosperous. But the neighboring mine's new owner throws a spanner in the works when he claims that Jervase had been siphoning brine from his mine all along. The new revelation sets the stage for a confrontation between the two parties…
