The White Room

This is a detective novel by well known author thrillers, Fergus Hume. The story opens in a fictitious London suburb where all the streets and houses are named after ancient Hellenic places or gods. Constable Mulligan is the local bobby and has usually very little to do, but on this night he sees a strange person walking in the darkness out of one of the houses.
