The Dukeries

This book revolves around an area called The Dukeries, which is an area of the county of Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom, so called because it contains four ducal seats. It is south of Worksop, which is called its «gateway». The area is included within the ancient Sherwood Forest. The Dukeries sees four ducal families living close together among the less than twenty current (extant) English dukedoms and their parks or farmed lands largely neighboring to the point of being at most points touching (contiguous).
