The story revolves around an army officer, Bob Hampton, and his redemption about how he was unjustly accused of a crime that he did not commit. It's a well written western novel with vivid characters and interesting storyline, full of suspense!

In those old-time Indian days of continuous foray and skirmish such brief returns, concise and unheroic, were commonplace enough."
