Richard Roberts was a Canadian Christian theologian and author expounding the social responsibilities of the Christian conscience. He was also one of the most influential pacifists in Canada during the interwar years. In this book, he takes his pacifistic mentality and applies it to democracy. He discusses the problems with the, at the time current, system, as well as the ways he thought the government could improve to be a better example of a democratic state.
