Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Saviour of Society

Robert Browning's epic poem Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Savior of Society was inspired by French Emperor Napoleon III and it was largely composed in Florence in the early 1860s. Robert Browning, the author, was a major Victorian poet and, of course, an English poet.
