The Straits Impregnable is a fictionalised autobiography of a soldier's service in the Gallipoli campaign during World War One. It is based on the author's real experiences and those of his comrades to create a highly realistic but fictional account. Most of the events in the book are true, but due to post-war censorship, it was edited, and some details were changed. The book is truthful, graphic and emotional.
