"Memoirs of Life and Literature" is the autobiography of English novelist and economics writer William H. Mallock. Spanning the time from his childhood, the book provides a background to the influences that shaped his life and political views that he wrote about. For instance his grandfather, a founder member of the pro Catholic Oxford Movement could have contributed to his writing in support of the Roman Catholic Church and in opposition to positivist philosophy and socialism. Also his time at Oxford University as a student that formented many of his political views.
