The volume contains: The Story of Fung Wa Chun, Feng Shuey, The Backsliding of Lao, The Punishment of Hong, Bone of my Bone, The Melancholy Magistrate of Foh Lin, The Hunchback's Piety, Hoo, the Daughter of Tak Wo, and Kwa Niu's Derby and all take the form of tales the narrator is told by Chinese natives themselves.
