The fate tablets are stolen. As events unfold, it becomes clear that Nin-an-ak, the living program, still exists and is responsible. Sigurd, Calgulla and En-Lil take up the pursuit. Nin-an-ak's destination appears to be the former planetary system of the Zetschn'cha, whose energetic half-world has fallen into the standard universe following the destruction of the magical construct. No one yet knows that a smaller version of it is located there, in the former seat of the tyrannical ruler Sol'altoo, the Hemisphere. Only when the still living Magister Wohlhorendoff accidentally discovers and activates the machinery does the situation come to a head, because the Living Program also knows exactly what means of power it has at its disposal.
