Meg, of Valencia

'Meg, of Valencia' is a romance-drama novel written by Myra Williams Jarrell. The story begins by introducing us to Mr. Robert Spencer, who is in an annoyed mood. He is upset because his nephew, whom Mrs. Malloy had named «Robert,» has become very religious and is considering joining a monastery. Mr. Spencer believes that this is a result of Mrs. Malloy's decision to give him a more formal name and that if she had named him «Bob,» he would have had a more typical, masculine upbringing. Mrs. Malloy defends her choice of name and the way she raised her nephew.
