The Primrose Ring

The Primrose Ring is a novel by Ruth Sawyer, an American storyteller and a writer of fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. The book was published first in 1915 and illustrated by Fanny Munsell. This was Sawyer's first published novel. The story tells about the inhabitants of the charity hospital, a particular group of kids from ward C, where only incurable patients dwell. Yet, the hospital workers make a present to little patients by organizing the «miracle trip» to the «fairyland» on May Eve, which is the one day that fairies walk the Earth.
