This is a book all about the City of Manchester's Anglican Cathedral and the collegiate buildings
associated with it that are known as Chetham's Hospital. ONed intersting fact about the Cathedral is
that it was was the scene, in 1787, of the first ever public meeting of the campaign to abolish the
slave trade. Founded by royal charter in 1421, it became a cathedral in 1847.
