US Army Captain John G. Adams pens the novel «Reminiscences of the Nineteenth Massachusetts Regiment» as a war memoir of his experiences during the American Civil War. Adams distinguished himself as a soldier and received the Medal of Honor for his actions during the war. The book focuses on the battles of his unit such as the Battle of Fair Oaks; Battles at Peach Orchard, Glendale and Malvern Hill; Battles of Fairfax Court House, Flint Hill and Antietam; and the Battle of Gettysburg, where Adams was wounded.
